A surface-applied patch provides an option to repair holes where the aesthetics is not a critical factor such as, above ceilings or other areas hidden from view.

This method can be used to repair and maintain system performance for Single boarded Siniat partition systems. 

Repair procedure:

• Install a Siniat Flat strap FS90/W fixed from stud to stud.
• Cut a piece of gypsum board matching the partition boarding in thickness, type and number of layers which overlaps undamaged existing board by at least 300mm around the damaged area.
• The new rip of board to be fixed at maximum 300mm centres to the Studs and Flat strap including sealant around the full perimeter with Siniat Intumescent Acoustic Sealant.
