How should Siniat Bluclad board be fixed?
Siniat does not manufacture fixings for Bluclad. (click link for general information)
It is recommended to use a stainless steel fixing suitable for either timber or metal SFS studs. Your preferred fixing suppliers will be able to advise you on suitable fixing for autoclaved fibre cement boards and the substrate.
Boards must be fixed back to a suitable timber stud frame of maximum 600mm centres with countersunk stainless steel screws or to SFS up to 2mm gauge at maximum 600mm centres with countersunk bi-metal screws. Screw fixing centres must be maximum 300mm centres. The screw centres may need to be reduced dependant on the wind load the building is subjected to - a Structural Engineer to advise. The maximum pull out load per fixing is 0.39kN.
