Any of the Siniat Internal Plasterboards can receive a skim finish. Please refer to Annex a2 in the Siniat drywall manual for more details on applying a skim finish to plasterboards. With any Siniat moisture resistant board, the surface will require pre-treatment with a suitable bonding agent before the skim can be applied. The chosen skim manufacturers guidance must be followed when applying the skim plaster.

It should be noted that skim plasters may not provide the same level of moisture resistance as the moisture resistant grade board and consideration to the final usage should be given in this regard.
