Siniat Universal Bonding Compound is not recommended to be used on a plaster background (painted or unfinished). Instead it is recommended to use the Siniat Shallow Wall Channel mechanically fixed through the plaster to the substrate behind with suitable fixings assuming the surface is plumb and true. 

The Shallow Wall Channel is 15mm deep which will be similar to a adhesive dab depth.
