There is currently no approval process or accreditation course for the installation of drywall / SFS systems in the UK. Fire stopping is different in this regard as there are several recognised industry approval processes that can be applied. However, these are optional but tend to be widely adopted and required when installing passive and active fire protection. FIRAS is one such recognised process, this is a voluntary, third-party certification scheme for installation contractors of both passive and active fire protection systems.
