Can I use Siniat Intumescent Acoustic Sealant instead of the taping and jointing process, when boards don't need decoration?
Siniat have not tested internal drywall systems with the plasterboard joints treated with our intumescent sealant . As such, for Siniat to warrant system performance, the board joints must have the tape and joint process or a reinforced joint skim finish applied. What is the application temperature range of your Fire Rated Silicone Sealant?
The Fire Rated Silicone Sealant should be installed when the ambient temperature is between 5 and 35 degrees. It is recommended to allow the product to acclimatise if stored in a cold area first.

Can you use Siniat Universal Bonding Compound against a plastered background?
Siniat Universal Bonding Compound is not recommended to be used on a plaster background (painted or unfinished). Instead it is recommended to use the Siniat Shallow Wall Channel mechanically fixed through the plaster to the substrate behind with suitable fixings assuming the surface is plumb and true. Are there products in the Siniat range to improve mechanical key on smooth surfaces and prime high or low suction backgrounds?
No, Siniat do not have products for these applications. The substrate must be clean of all contaminants and dust free. Very low suction backgrounds may require mechanical fixing system.
